See the sights of Bali is easy once you’re here, but how do you decide the best place to stay. There are options available to many and very different from each other.

Kuta is probably the best known area of Bali and is the entertainment capital of the island. Near the airport, is wall to wall restaurants, shops, bars, clubs and hotels. Kuta is a great place to visit if you like partying hard at night and relax during the day in the pool or the famous beach of Kuta.

Seminyak and Legian are really an extension of Kuta, but a little easier. Another dynamic place to stay, with lots of hotels and restaurants and things to do, they are a bit more relaxed. It’s the same stretch of beach, but there is a feeling less chaotic here.

Jimbaran is on the south side of the airport and very well known for its seafood restaurants on the beach. There are a number of housing options, some of them fabulous 5-star resorts.

Nusa Dua is an excellent choice if you are looking a little more privacy during their vacation in Bali. About 20 minutes from the airport, you can find many of the best hotels in Bali.

Sanur is also a popular area, about 20 minutes north of the airport. Quieter than Kuta, the location is very central to tourist sites in Bali, and has a reputation of many great restaurants and budget hotels.

Ubud is the main resort of Bali that is not on the beach. It is 90 minutes north of the airport in the hills. At 200 meters high, the temperature is much cooler, and the pace a bit slow. To see more closely the culture and arts of Bali is the best place to do it.

Lovina on the north coast and Candi Dasa on the east coast are popular destinations, if you want to experience a bit more natural and peaceful Bali.

Whatever your choice, be sure to go out and explore the many sights that Bali has to offer.
